Tropical Pineapple Shake Herbalife Formula 1 Recipe

Yesterday, we were at the local Nutrition Club leading a team talk. One of our members told us about an amazing recipe they discovered when experimenting with their Herbalife Formula 1 Mixed Berry and we discovered it pretty much works with any flavour of HErbalife Formula 1 Healthy Meal shake. In fact, my favourite to make this one with is strawberry or vanilla flavour.

Herbalife Formula 1 Tropical Pineapple Shake

This nutritious, tasty tropical pineapple shake is just what you need to start your summer right!

  • Blender
  • 150 g Pineapple Chunks (frozen or fresh)
  • 80 ml Coconut Milk
  • 100 ml Low-Fat Milk or Dairy Alternative
  • 1 Orange (zested and peeled)
  • 2 scoops Herbalife Formula 1 Healthy Meal Shake
  • 1 scoop Herbalife Oat & Apple Fibre
  • 1 handful Ice Cubes
  1. Prepare your environment. All you need for this is a tall glass and a blender.

  2. Add most of your liquid ingredients first, including the orange zest and the peeled orange. It doesn't matter which ingredients you add here, this is just to help stop the dry products sticking to the bottom or top of the blender and not being blended!

  3. Add the two scoops of Formula 1 and the single scoop of Oat & Apple Fibre

  4. Add the remaining liquid ingredients and blend for 30 seconds.

  5. Add your ice cubes; depending on the type of blender you have, you may need to crush your ice cubes first with a rolling pin.

  6. Blend for an additional one minute and serve.

This recipe is so easy. It doesn’t matter which steps you take to make the shake; this smoothie is made by literally adding all ingredients together and blending. The steps we have provided prevent the powder ingredients from sticking to the top of the blender where it can’t be blended. By sandwiching the dry ingredients between wet ingredients, it holds it together and makes clean-up a lot easier too!

Just a quick note on the type of blender you’re using. This recipe requires ice, preferably crushed. But some blenders aren’t up to the task, even with crushed ice! If you have a cheap Sainsbury blender for £15, it probably isn’t going to stand the test of time, in which case add the crushed ice after and stir! However, if you have a meaty Ninja Blender, not much dissimilar to the ones used at juice bars like Boost Juice Bars, you’ll be absolutely fine adding whole ice cubes to your blender.
